The SICL Indoor Meet is always a great chance to check in and get some races in on the track. The girls had a good first showing against some solid SICL Teams.
This meet was run on Monday, March 18, at Grinnell College.
We like to approach this meet as a good practice opportunity and with several young kids we always learn a lot.
The basketball girls have only been to a week of practice so they were limited in several events. However, we were very pleased with how the kids competed and responded to various challenges throughout the evening.
We have to focus on being creative and finding the best places to put our kids to be successful this season and we know that they will do what is necessary for the team.
The conference is going to be better in a lot of areas, and we know that we can use the challenges to improve to put the best Bravettes squad in the right events.
Chloe Snook led the charge, anchoring two third-place relays and finishing second in the long jump, where she was taking off several inches behind the board.
She will be needed to help lead the Bravette squad and she is up to the challenge.
So far this season has been great at practice with kids that want to work hard and get better. We know that for our school to have success in a variety of events, we need our kids to work hard and do multiple things.
This group of track girls will be fun to watch this season as they grow and compete.
