NEW SHARON – Cruz De Jong won a playoff hole to take medalist honors, while the Montezuma boys golf team placed third out of six participating teams on Monday, April 22, at Prairie Knolls golf course.
The occasion was a tournament of western division members of the South Iowa Cedar League. It’s a precursor to the full SICL meet later on.
De Jong and Peyton Roth of HLV each shot a 74, then De Jong won on their first playoff hole.
