SCORES: Bravettes take down PCM, 54-45

MONROE – The Montezuma Bravettes took their record to 15-1 with a 54-45 win over Class 2A Prairie City-Monroe Thursday evening, Jan. 30.

PCM brought a 7-8 record into the game, but the Mustangs had won three in a row.

NOTE: The Bravettes fell to number five in the Class 1A ratings, according to the poll released by the girls’ union. North Mahaska, which defeated Montezuma on Monday, moved from fourth to third.

Unbeaten Newell-Fonda is the new first-place team in the poll.
